On April 23rd, World Book Day, the joint initiative between China Central Television (CCTV) and the Publicity Department of Longgang District Committee in Shenzhen, "My Life in Books"—the CCTV Reading Carnival, was broadcast live, attracting over 10 million viewers and sparking lively discussions.

From 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm, a four-hour reading relay marathon kicked off at the Urban Bookstore in the Beijing Xinhua Bookstore flagship store. The 35-member "Reader Leader Dream Team," consisting of CCTV hosts and renowned scholars, shared their "life in books" through various forms such as speaking, singing, dancing, book reviews, recitations, and speeches. By sharing childhood books, bedside books, and classics, they showcased the profound significance of reading—finding support during low periods, contemplating the meaning of life, and broadening one's insight into the world.

The broadcast also featured reading events held in Longgang District, conveying the image of "Bookish Longgang" to the national audience.

During the Urban Reading Flash Mob, lasting 4 minutes and 23 seconds, at the Xiangyun Yicheng Urban Bookstore, Hehu New Residence, and Longgang Library Children's Library, the CCTV "Reader Leader Dream Team" joined hands with reading and recitation enthusiasts from all walks of life to recite "Readers are Happy People," reminding everyone to slow down occasionally in the fast-paced life, enjoy reading, and become "lucky people with experiences beyond personal life."

Well-known scholars, writers, and student representatives from Shenzhen and Hong Kong, such as Ge Jianxiong, Ye Xiaogang, and Yu Kelin, shared their "life in books" that illuminated their paths of growth at the Great Bay Area Grassland Reading Party. This section promoted cultural exchange and integration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong through reading. Ge Jianxiong hoped everyone would cherish the books that moved them, as they would sow a seed in their hearts, waiting to be discovered, understood, and practiced slowly on the road of life.

The Children's Picture Book Storytelling session allowed the laughter of parent-child audiences at the Longgang District Library Children's Library to blend into the live broadcast, adding a touch of vibrant color. Classic picture books, like a gentle spring breeze and nourishing rain, nurtured the hearts of children, inspiring them to seek wisdom through reading.

"Every book-loving person in Longgang can find a library suitable for themselves right at their doorstep, along with a reading chair of their own." 超千万人围观央视读书嘉年华大型直播，“书香龙岗”走向全国

4月23日是世界读书日，由中央广播电视总台社教节目和深圳市龙岗区委宣传部联合举办的“我的人生之书”——央视读书嘉年华大型直播活动播出，全网超1000万人次观看，引发热烈讨论。

15时30分至19时30分，历时4个小时的阅读接力马拉松直播在北京新华书店总店的城市书房起跑。由中央广播电视总台主持人和知名学者专家组成的35人“领读者天团”，通过说、唱、跳、评书、朗诵、演讲等形式，接力分享自己的“人生之书”。通过对这些童年书、枕边书、经典书的分享，他们也展示阅读的深刻意义——为自己度过低谷期找到支撑，让自己向内思考人生的意义，让自己对世界感知力增强。

直播过程中穿插了在龙岗区举办的阅读活动，城市诵读快闪、大湾区草地读书会、小小绘本故事会等向全国观众传达出书香龙岗、诗意龙岗形象。

城市诵读快闪时长4分23秒，在祥云驿城市书房、鹤湖新居和龙岗图书馆少儿馆，央视“领读者天团”携手各行各业的阅读、朗诵爱好者齐声诵读《读书人是幸福人》，提醒大家不妨在快节奏的生活中偶尔慢下来，享受读书，做一个“拥有超乎个人生命体验的幸运人”。

葛剑雄、叶小钢、于克凌等深港知名学者、作家和学生代表在大湾区草地读书会分享照亮着他们的成长之路的“人生之书”，以阅读分享，促进深港文化交流与融合。葛剑雄希望大家珍视那些打动自己的书籍，它们会在心灵深处播下一颗种子，等待在人生道路上慢慢去发现、去领悟、去实践。

小小绘本故事会让现场亲子观众们的欢声笑语交织在龙岗区图书馆少儿馆，也为直播活动增添了一抹童趣盎然的亮色。经典绘本如春风化雨，滋润着孩子们的心田，启发他们在阅读中找寻智慧。
